If you find a injured or orphaned bird you need to take it a licensed rehabilitator. All native birds in teh US are protected by federal law and its illegal for you to raise the bird. If you need help finding a rehabilitator you can call your states department of natural resources or wildlife comission. There are also a number fo sites out there to help you find a rehabber.
