Welcome to the Behavior & Training Forum

Knowing the personality and characteristics of your bird will go a long way toward explaining its behavior. Adapting your approach to these inborn traits should produce a more successful training program.

Sometimes, your bird may surprise you by doing tricks that it hasn't been taught! Out of the blue, your bird may begin flying to your shoulder or to your hand for a treat! Or "bow" its head for a soothing, refreshing scratch!
